M80 Ring Road Upgrade Sydney Road to Edgars Road

Vic Piling partnered with CPB contractor for the construction of piles for M80 Blaxland Avenue Overpass. This included upgrading the cycling and pedestrian bridge and construction of 1200 mm diameter and 8 m deep piles. Difficulties in this project included the disposal of large quantities of spoil in a restricted area, and having to hang such large cages, without having to resort to the use of a crane. In a separate exercise, 750mm diameter and 6m deep piles were installed under the gantry structures along a 2 km stretch.
